Craftsman Arts & Crafts Settee Sofa Stickley Style - Circa early 1900s - SOLD

Craftsman Arts & Crafts Settee Sofa Stickley Style - Circa early 1900s

76 long x 36" tall x 30" deep --

Has Original cushion - still pliable and comfortable - has original steel belting under the cushion and webbing

The settee/ bench is made of solid wood, of course, and has its original finish (not redone) all original patina - the hardware that holds the bench supports in place is penny nails that had screws added at a later date - the screws are very old too so there is nothing new on the sofa (NO nails on the joinery of the frame, just the bench support rails) - I had an antique expert friend look at it and say its at least 100 years old - its nothing like the replicas out there - it has all the look and markers of an original piece.

It is similar to the Stickley Settee no. 222 in the 1906 catalog but probably a later construction by a year or two - but it has no tag, however, I can see where the tag was torn off - so it was made by Stickley or a contemporary of Stickley and is an amazing collectors item

Solid and Sturdy - built like a rock!-
