Very rare antique slant top desk - its solid plank wood - wonderful primitive /rustic wear - original lock hardware (no key) Wonderful early American collectible antique.
Most likely a School Master Desk or Merchant desk - the lock might indicate that it was a merchant desk... hard to date but the legs indicate early to mid 1800s --
29" wide x 32" tall in back x 22" deep
Solid and Sturdy - Ready to use - some nails were replaced with screws (great for sturdiness) however a lot of the old hardware is still in use - the hinge was replaced in its history but works great
The desk is alive with history - a wonderful piece
